Time Is Of The Essence

For someone who hates time (never enough of it, running out of it, too much of it, Oy!) I've got an awful lot of clocks in my house.

It's starting to dawn on me today how little time I have to complete the shop before the grand opening! I still have painting to do, stock and furniture to get in, labelling, stock taking, steaming....

Yet here I am, sitting on my butt, watching Ugly Betty/writing this! My motivation has been at an all-time-high recently (probably because I am doing something I feel super passionately about for a change!) but I am feeling a slight stress overload (in the nicest possible way!) and my brain and body have decided to shut down. Thanks guys! I'm going to have a quick cuddle with my dogs and then get moving!

I have the lovely Jirral of Beatnik Blonde arriving later to start work on a large wall mural tomorrow, and also hand deliver some of her beautiful chalkware-like wall plaques. There will be a special, newly-created batch available in store!

Here is a wonderful plaque Jirral made for me for my 30th birthday - she's a clever girl!

Check her out on Facebook for both 'off the peg' and custom pieces.

I'm also waiting for the postman (I had an interesting conversation with Ava of Vera Mode Vintage about our inability to start our working day until Mr. Postman had been - nice to know it's not just me!), as I'm expecting some killer pieces and I don't want to arrive home to that little red card!!

He's probably sitting scratching his arse somewhere.

So I'm signing off for now. The only person who can make you achieve is you! No-one has invented motivation in a bottle, so until that day comes I need to think about the long game and push myself to get stuff done, even if getting off the sofa is the last thing I want to do!
